Students Complete Basic Resus Course29th January, 2007

On the 7th November 2006, 14 Year 10 students from Waroona District High School completed a Basic Resuscitation First Aid Course as part of the Driver Education Program that is conducted every year by the Waroona Police.  This course qualifies you to perform basic life support skills and includes the DRABCD Action Plan, how to place someone in the recovery position, choking, CPR, how to recognise and manage heart conditions and how to control external bleeding.  All 14 students passed successfully and gained a “Statement of Attainment” from St Johns.

The next course will be held in Waroona on Saturday 10th February from 8am - 12pm.  Minimum age requirement is 15 (turning 15 in 2007).  For more information, please contact the Sub Centre on 9733 2122 or by email at waroonastjohn@bigpond.com.
