Sub Centre Conference 2009

Planning is well on the way for this year's Country Sub Centre Conference. Our aim is to have at least one volunteer from every sub centre and we encourage sub centres to send more than one representative. Here are a few of the items that participants at this year's conference can look forward to:

- State Office Presentations
- Displays
- Award Presentations
- Open Forum with Directors
- St John Ambulance State Office Tour (Thursday)
- Great Atmosphere and chance to network with fellow Volunteers
Venue
This year's conference will again be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, located on Mounts Bay Road, Perth. Parking is at a premium at the Perth Convention Centre and so to register for your free parking can you please indicate on the registration form how many parking spots you require and for which days. If you are staying in a hotel near to the Perth Convention Centre it may be easier for you to leave your car at the hotel.
Accommodation
Please note that accommodation has not been booked for you, and you will need to arrange this by calling the hotel of your choice and booking. August is a busy time for conferences in Perth, so book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
St John Ambulance State Office Visit
If you would like to take the opportunity to visit the Belmont State Office, several tours have been arranged on Thursday the 30th July 2009, times ranging from 11am to 3pm. If you would like to be included in the tour, you will need to tick the section and the tour time you require, when you complete the registration form. Displays
If you would like to participate in the displays by having a Sub Centre Display booth, please contact Sasha Anderson on 08 9334 1377 or email sasha.anderson@amnbulance.net.au with your theme and content to secure your spot. The space allowed for each Sub Centre Display is 3m x 3m. There will be a prize for the best display. Please note that bookings for display spaces closed on the 19th June 2009, and this information is for reference only.
How to Book
Your Sub Centre should have received a registration form, which a representative will need to complete and fax it to 08 9334 1231. This should have all names of attendees for the Friday Seminar & Saturday Conference and Tour if required. You should also indicate if there are any special requirements, such as dietary, visual, audio, wheelchair access, etc.
Dinner Dance
The St John Ambulance Dinner Dance 2009 will be held on the 1st August 2009 at the Perth Convention Centre and is held on the last day of the Sub Centre Conference to give our volunteers from rural locations the chance to attend.
