St John Ambulance Benefit Fund

Many private health funds will only cover the cost of an ambulance if the emergency is a "Priority 1". Priorities 2 and 3 are dependent on your level of cover.

If you are not a member of a private health fund, or if your private health fund only covers you for Priority 1 emergencies, why not consider joining the St John Ambulance Benefit Fund, and gain total peace of mind.

SJA Benefit Fund costs for Waroona as at 1 July 2009

Single membership is only $40 per annum, the equivalent of 11c per day. Single membership covers any one person 18 years and over.

Family membership is only $70 per annum, the equivalent of 20c per day. Family covers 2 adults or 1 single parent/guardian and as many children as are registered with us up until their 18th birthday.

As an example, 1 trip from Waroona to Peel Health Campus, with no membership, will cost approximately $500. This price is subject to change dependent on kilometres travelled.

St John Ambulance Benefit Fund members, are covered for as many EMERGENCY trips as you may need per annum, at no additional cost.

**Membership does not cover "transports"**

If you are discharged from a Perth hospital and have to have an ambulance bring you back to Waroona, you will be looking at approximately $1200, subject to change dependent on kilometres travelled.
