AMBULANCE VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Join ordinary people doing extraordinary things!
Waroona St John Ambulance held an Open Day on Saturday 9th May 2009 to allow the public to come through and have a look at the new Mark VI Mercedes ambulance and to get to know our local Volunteer Ambulance Officers. The other object of the day was to try and recruit some more volunteers as we are extremely short of qualified volunteer ambulance officers. Even though very few members of the local community came through we did achieve the aim of gaining 2-3 prospective trainees which we hope to have out on the road in the very near future.
We have been kept busy in the first half of the year.

We have an extremely large area to cover with a majority of the jobs being covered by three volunteers with our other ambos pitching in when family and job commitments permit.
St John Ambulance Waroona needs YOU!
“You may not have 40,000 fans chanting your name, or press photographers watching your every move. But there is someone out there who owes you their life.”
St John Ambulance relies on locals to volunteer their own time to run this vital community service. To retain it they need people like you who care enough to get involved.
