What is a Sub Centre?

We have a Sub Centre Locator on this site, we mention Sub Centres throughout this site, and Waroona is itself, a Sub Centre.

So what exactly is a Sub Centre?

St John Ambulance WA is an organisation which operates in this state and provides first aid services, training, kits, and much more. They are the "Head Centre" for operations within the state.

All paid St John Ambulance paramedic centres in the metropolitan and some country areas, are known as depots. These depots operate under the authority of the St John Ambulance WA.

All volunteer centres in country and regional areas are classed as Sub Centres, and also operate under the authority of St John Ambulance WA.

Sub Centres, while operating under the St John Ambulance banner, still manage the day to day running, and finances of the Sub Centre, themselves.
