LEARN TO SAVE A LIFE FOR FREE
ILUKA and St John Ambulance will join forces in October to offer the Waroona community free senior first aid training.
Iluka will fund a senior first aid course to be held at, and run by, the St John Waroona sub-centre from October 21 to 23.
Participants will learn life saving skills such as CPR and how to respond in a medical emergency before ambulance help arrives.
The three day course has been specifically designed to run between school hours - from 9am to 2pm – to make it accessible to everyone in the community, especially parents of school-aged children.
“This training course will equip people who encounter a medical emergency at work or home with basic skills that could save the life of a loved one,” said Andy Templeman Twells from St John Ambulance Waroona.
“St John is grateful that Iluka is providing Waroona residents the opportunity to gain these important skills for free.”
Spaces are strictly limited and anyone interested in participating in the three-day course should register early by phoning Carol on 9733 2122 on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9am to 1.30pm.
